The Police Stress Unit and Frontline Training Institute was developed to serve those who serve and protect. We have a first -hand understanding of the profession and the challenges associated with the job. The stress and trauma associated with the job can become a daily routine and can take a toll on the person along with relationships. We recognize that Law Enforcement Officers are not eager to ask for assistance when it comes to wellness and mental health issues and it is part of the Law Enforcement Culture that starts at the Academy. We teach new recruits to take care of everyone else's problems and when an officer is facing issues in their own life, they sometimes struggle alone. It is OK not to be OK. Credibility, trust and confidentiality are the keys when seeking assistance.

"This job can be a killer even if no one is shooting at you."
